Rose Ball Candles

A rose rendered in wax, petal by petal, in solid red and white, soft pastel pink and yellow, and shimmer finishes where silver or gold catches the petal edges. Rose blossom shapes sit alongside the balls for a flatter, more open flower. They travel well as a proposal table piece, an anniversary gift or a Valentine's arrangement that does not wilt by the weekend.

Shimmer finishes are surface treatments, so handle them by the base to keep the sheen intact, and stand any sculpted rose on a holder wide enough to catch the melt. For everything about burning free-standing shapes cleanly, see the care guide, and this is the one to bookmark if wax reaches a dress or a sleeve.
