Fruit Candles

A basket of strawberries rendered in wax, right down to the weave of the basket and the shape of each berry. It was made as a kitchen piece — sat on a counter or a farmhouse table it passes for a bowl of fruit until somebody looks twice, which is exactly the effect we were after.

Most buyers treat it as decor and never light it, and that is a reasonable way to own it. If you do, stand it on a plate wide enough to catch the melt, because a sculpted shape has no vessel holding anything in. Should wax reach a wooden surface, this explains lifting it off safely, and the care guide has the basics.
